When Autopot Systems first ventured into the hobby hydroponic market in 1992, many experts were too quick to rule out the system as an effective commercial hydroponic system – simply because it is so unconventional and controversial to the basic “rules” of hydroponics. The main issue that they find it hard to come to terms with is the fact that crops can be grown very successfully in Autopot Systems without any run-off and with no flushing! To them it is just not possible. Possible or not, we have concrete evidence that Autopot Systems produced just as good, if not better, results than the current run to waste system for tomato production.
